This Privacy Policy explains how MoCargo ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the MoCargo mobile application (the "App"). The App is owned by MoCargo and developed by bSolutions. By using the App you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

Data	Why we collect it
Phone number	To create and verify your account using a one-time password (OTP) sent by SMS.
Account / customer profile	Your customer name and related shipping records, retrieved from our cargo system to show your dashboard, cargos, shipments and invoices.
Location (while using the App)	To support cargo/shipment features that rely on your location. Used only while the App is in use.
Camera & photos	Only when you choose to capture or upload an image (e.g. documents/attachments). We do not access your gallery in the background.
Verification SMS code	On Android, the App may read only the incoming OTP message to auto-fill the code, using Google's SMS Retriever API. We do not request READ_SMS permission and cannot read your other messages.
Device & usage data	Basic technical data (e.g. app version, error logs, connectivity) to keep the App working and diagnose problems.

2. How we use your information

• Authenticate you and keep you signed in.
• Show your cargos, shipments, invoices and dashboard.
• Send transactional messages such as OTP codes.
• Maintain security and prevent fraud or abuse.
• Improve and troubleshoot the App.

3. SMS / OTP and how codes are stored

OTP codes are sent via our SMS provider and stored on our servers hashed (not in plain text), expire after a few minutes, and are limited in attempts. They are used solely to verify your phone number.

4. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with:

• SMS gateway provider (Selcom) — to deliver OTP messages to your phone number.
• Hosting / infrastructure providers — to operate our backend services.
• Legal authorities — when required by law.

5. Data retention

We keep account and shipping records for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. OTP codes are deleted shortly after they expire.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including hashed OTP storage and encrypted transport (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

7. Your rights

• Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data.
• Withdraw consent or request account closure.
• Disable location/camera permissions at any time in your device settings (some features may stop working).

8. Children

The App is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
