1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how [Company Legal Name] (“we”,
“us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use
the Mo Simba CRM mobile application (the “App”). The App is a
sales-force tool used by field sales officers to register leads, log follow-ups, and report
their work location to their employer.
By installing or using the App you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use
the App.
2. Who the App is for
Mo Simba CRM is an internal business tool intended for authorized employees and agents of the
organization that issued your login. Accounts are created and managed by your organization.
3. Information we collect
3.1 Account information
- Email address (used as your username) and the session token issued when you sign in.
3.2 Location information
The App collects precise location, including in the background. When you sign in
and start your shift, the App runs a foreground service that periodically records your device’s
GPS location (approximately every 30 seconds) and sends it, with a timestamp and your email, to your
organization’s servers. This is used by your employer for work attendance, route verification,
and lead-location accuracy. Location is also captured at the moment you create a lead.
Location collection continues while the App runs in the background, shown by a persistent notification. You can stop it at any time using the notification’s “stop” button or by logging out.
3.3 Customer / lead data you enter
- Lead name, mobile number, company name, business category, customer class, and the GPS coordinates of the lead.
- Follow-up records: method (call, SMS, WhatsApp, email, physical visit), feedback notes, conversion percentage, and dates.
3.4 Device & technical data
- Network connectivity status and basic device information needed to operate the App and diagnose problems.
4. Permissions we use
- Location (fine, coarse, background) — to record work location and lead positions as described above.
- Foreground service / location service type — to keep location reporting running during a shift.
- Internet & network state — to sync data with our servers.
- Wake lock / run at boot — to keep the reporting service reliable.
- Notifications — to show the ongoing tracking notification and status messages.
5. How we use your information
- To authenticate you and operate core CRM features (leads and follow-ups).
- To provide your employer with work-location reporting and field activity records.
- To maintain security and troubleshoot issues.
We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell your personal information.
6. How information is shared
- Your organization (employer): all leads, follow-ups, and location reports are shared with the organization that issued your account.
- Service providers: our backend servers and Google Maps Platform (for location/mapping services) process data on our behalf.
- Legal: we may disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights and users’ safety.
7. Data storage and retention
Data is transmitted to and stored on servers operated by or for [Company Legal Name]. Some data
(your session token and preferences) is stored locally on your device and is removed when you log
out or uninstall the App. We retain server-side records for as long as your organization requires
them or as required by law.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures including encrypted transport (HTTPS) and secure on-device
storage for session credentials. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work
to protect your information.
9. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of
your personal data. Because accounts are administered by your organization, please direct such
requests to your employer or contact us at the address below and we will assist.
10. Children
The App is not intended for anyone under 16 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the
“Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, by an in-app notice.
